MCP server and plugins

# One MCP server for every coding agent.

Proxy Mail QA’s MCP server gives Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, ChatGPT and other agents the tools to create test users and get their codes and links. Connect in one prompt and sign in through your browser.

Connect

## The quickest way: one prompt.

Paste the setup prompt into your agent. It adds the server for whichever tool it is, and you sign in once in your browser. Or add it yourself:

### Claude Code

Add the server, then type /mcp, choose proxymail-qa and Authenticate.

Terminal

```
claude mcp add --transport http proxymail-qa https://api.proxymail.qa/mcp
```

### Cursor

Click Add to Cursor on the Cursor Directory, or add it under mcpServers in \~/.cursor/mcp.json. Then log in from the MCP section of Cursor Settings. [Proxy Mail QA on the Cursor Directory →](https://cursor.directory/plugins/proxymail-qa)

\~/.cursor/mcp.json

```
"proxymail-qa": { "url": "https://api.proxymail.qa/mcp" }
```

### GitHub Copilot in VS Code

Add it under servers in .vscode/mcp.json, then click Start above it.

.vscode/mcp.json

```
"proxymail-qa": { "type": "http", "url": "https://api.proxymail.qa/mcp" }
```

### OpenAI Codex

Codex reads an API key from your environment.

Terminal

```
codex mcp add proxymail-qa --url https://api.proxymail.qa/mcp --bearer-token-env-var PROXYMAIL_QA_API_KEY
```

Tools

## What your agent can call.

| Tool                   | What it does                                                                                                                                                                                |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| get\_project | The project it works in: default mail domain and the others, email prefix, limits |
| create\_address | A new test address, with a fictional name and username, a date of birth for an age, a country, and a password if asked |
| form\_values | What to type or pick in each field of a sign-up form: a username and password that fit its rules, the date of birth in its format, a country it offers |
| wait\_for\_code | Waits up to 30 seconds for a verification or login code and returns it |
| wait\_for\_link | The same for a verify, magic sign-in, invite or password-reset link, or the link that opens a mobile app |
| list\_addresses | The project’s addresses with their newest code or link; filters find an account made earlier by tags, country, age, saved password, text, site or environment |
| check\_delivery | What reached an address, anything we refused, and the likely cause when nothing did |
| update\_address | Name, username, date of birth or country, and notes, tags or a label |
| set\_password | Saves the password the test account uses now, after the app changed or reset it |
| get\_address\_variants | Unusual versions of an address that should be accepted, and invalid ones that should be refused |
| delete\_address | Deletes an address and its mail |
| get\_saved\_password | Reads a saved password; only for API keys allowed to |
| get\_sign\_in | The saved test account to sign in with on a site, and its password, in one call; only for API keys allowed to |
| mark\_dev\_host | Marks a dev host such as localhost:3000, so the email checks pass links to it |
| check\_email | Checks an email that arrived: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, local or http links, where its link goes, a stated expiry, its size, whether it fits a phone, expected text and its language. Verdicts only |
| count\_emails          | How many emails arrived, to catch a duplicate                                                                                                                                               |
| expect\_no\_email | Passes if nothing arrives, for “an unsubscribed user gets nothing” |
| check\_out\_account | Borrows a test account in a known state that no other test has; return\_account gives it back |
| start\_run | Records a session as a run; finish\_run returns the report in Markdown, with what changed since the last runs of the same name |

Every tool says whether it only reads or changes something, so agents can ask before acting. Results carry the code or link, never the email’s text. Ready-made prompts cover a sign-up test, a password reset, a code sign-in, getting an account ready, an audit of the account emails, and the auth regression pack.

Sign-in and security

## Your agent gets one project, for as long as you allow.

- ### Browser sign-in
OAuth 2.1 with PKCE: your agent opens a page where you sign in, choose one project and allow it. No key to copy.
- ### Or an API key
For tools that can’t sign in that way, send a key from Project settings as a bearer token. Keep it out of files you commit.
- ### Short-lived tokens
Access lasts an hour. Refresh tokens last 90 days and are replaced each time; if an old one is ever reused, the app is disconnected.
- ### One project
A connected agent works in the project you chose, as you, and can’t read passwords saved earlier.
- ### Disconnect any time
Connected agents are listed in Project settings → API keys, next to your keys.
- ### Fair limits
60 requests a minute per key on Free, 600 on Team.

Plugins and listings

## Ready-made for Claude Code and Cursor, and anywhere agents look.

### Claude Code plugin

The MCP server and a skill that walks Claude through testing a sign-up end to end. Then type /mcp and Authenticate.

Claude Code

```
/plugin marketplace add aaquib90/proxymail-qa-plugin
/plugin install proxymail-qa@proxymail-qa
```

### Agent skill

A [skill file](https://proxymail.qa/.well-known/agent-skills/proxymail-qa/SKILL.md) that describes the whole flow, and one for the [auth regression pack](https://proxymail.qa/.well-known/agent-skills/auth-regression-pack/SKILL.md), for Claude Code and other agents that read skills.

### Cursor Directory

[Listed](https://cursor.directory/plugins/proxymail-qa) with the MCP server and the skill: Add to Cursor installs it, then log in from Cursor Settings.

### Official MCP Registry

Listed as `qa.proxymail/proxymail-qa`, so MCP clients that browse the registry can find it.

### Claude and ChatGPT

Add it as a custom connector with the server’s address, and sign in when asked.

FAQ

## Questions

### What kind of MCP server is it?

A remote server over Streamable HTTP at https://api.proxymail.qa/mcp. Nothing to install or run on your machine.

### Can I use it with ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes. Add a custom connector with the server’s address: in Claude, Settings → Connectors; in ChatGPT, Settings → Apps & Connectors with developer mode on. You’ll sign in and choose a project.

### My agent isn’t listed. Will it work?

If it supports remote MCP servers, yes: with browser sign-in where it supports OAuth, or with an API key in a header, as Windsurf does.

### Does it cost anything?

No. The MCP server is on every plan, including Free.
