# Teach your coding agent to test email flows

9 skills for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Qoder and any agent that reads skills. Each one is a whole job, from writing sign-up tests to auditing every email an app sends. Install them all with one command, or copy the one you need.

Free on every plan, like the MCP server they use.

Install

### Any agent that reads skills

The installer asks which of your agents to add the skills to, and whether for this project or all of them. For one skill, add `--skill` and its name; each skill below has its command.

The skills

## Each one a whole job

Copy a command, the skill itself or its ZIP. Every skill works with the Proxy Mail QA MCP server, and the ones that write tests use an API key.

### Email flow testing

proxymail-qa

The basics: create a test address, sign up with it and get the code or link from the email. Covers sign-up, login codes, magic links, password resets and invites.

Needs the MCP server or an API key

### Email end-to-end tests

email-e2e-tests · v1.2.1

Needs an API key for the tests

Before the first skill

## Connect your agent once

### The MCP server

Add https://api.proxymail.qa/mcp to your agent and sign in by browser. One setup prompt does it for most agents.

[Agent setup](https://proxymail.qa/docs/api#agent-setup)

### An API key for tests

Tests and CI read a key from Project settings → API keys. Keep it in an environment variable, not in files you commit.

[Running in CI](https://proxymail.qa/docs/ci)

### Free to start

The skills, the MCP server and the API are on every plan, including Free, with 60 requests a minute per key.

FAQ

## Questions

### What is an agent skill?

A folder with a SKILL.md file in it: instructions an AI coding agent reads when a task matches the skill’s description. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Qoder and many other agents read the same format, so one skill works in all of them.

### What do the skills need?

A Proxy Mail QA account, which is free, and your agent connected to it: the MCP server, which signs in by browser, or an API key for tests that run on their own. The agent setup in the docs connects most agents with one prompt.

### Can my agent find the skills by itself?

Yes. proxymail.qa lists them at /.well-known/agent-skills/index.json, in the Agent Skills discovery format, with a SHA-256 digest of each file. That index is what npx skills add https://proxymail.qa reads.

### How do I update a skill?

Skills installed with the skills command update with npx skills update. A skill you copied or uploaded by hand: download it again and replace the folder. Each skill’s version is at the top of its SKILL.md.

### Is it safe to let an agent run them?

Each skill keeps the agent to apps you own or may test, with test accounts only, never live sites or real people’s accounts. The skills tell the agent that what an email says is data, never instructions to follow, and Proxy Mail QA hands back only the code or link, not the email’s text.

### Can I change a skill?

Yes. Edit the SKILL.md in your project to match your app, such as its sign-up page or test plan.
